wm5 device emulator: installation
So you’re interested in learning more about Windows Mobile 5. But you didn’t win last year’s World Series of Poker, and can’t pony up for your own mobile device? I feel your pain.
For one thing, Smartphones and Pocket PCs aren’t exactly cheap. Neither is a long-term service contract. And because of the major differences between a Smartphone and Pocket PC, you almost need one of each to get your head fully around how Windows Mobile 5 behaves.
Tpday’s your lucky day. Microsoft has released a free standalone Device Emulator that you can download to get your hands on Windows Mobile 5, without shelling out any money whatsoever. Not only that, but it includes emulation images for Pocket PC & Smartphones.

What’s the point if you are not going to update? All the people that came over from the MS blog have already left in disappointment.

Who are ‘all the people’? I would reckon that when Chris gets some time to put the post together then he will post the second part.
I know he would like the quality of the second part to be useful to you and I’m sure that takes HIS time and resources. I reckon this would mean he would have to wait until his work schedule is manageable and then focus on it.
If, ‘anonymous’ is the same person, then I would suggest that you find out the answers to your questions yourself either by testing it yourself (like Chris is)or browsing the web. Anyone who blogs gives up their OWN time and their OWN intellectual property but they are not answerable to anyone and not responsible in helping you.
