wm5 device emulator: direct push action

Well, we’ve made it to the main goal of the Device Emulator 1.0 Funlab series…

Direct Push emulation!

Here’s an outline of the equipment we’re using for this Funlab environment:

  • HP laptop, which includes…
    • Separate wired and wireless Ethernet connections
    • Virtual PC running Small Business Server 2003 Standard Edition
      • 2 virtual Ethernet interfaces
      • Self-signed certificate
      • Remote Web Workplace enabled
      • Outlook Web Access enabled
      • Outlook Mobile Access enabled
    • Device Emulator 1.0
      • Windows Mobile 5 with MSFP
    • Internet Explorer
  • Wireless/wired router
    • Serving IP addresses via DHCP
    • Internet access
      • Only used to test connectivity here & there

So that you can see how everything is laid out, both physically and logically, check out the network map of this Funlab environment…
