first things first
to mark the one month anniversary of joining the ranks of the self-employed…
aka the perpetually unemployed…
yours truly thought he’d present for your perusal a list of a dozen things that are absolutely crucial & should be prioritized when starting your own company.
specifically, your own it consulting company.
and by first…
i mean before you even think about running around, knocking on doors, cold-calling people, buying insanely overpriced marketing toolkits, what-have-you…
you need to have these things either fully knocked out or at least well along in motion.
don’t worry…
i’m not going to re-hash stuff that is already covered excellently by other folks in other places. or, at least not very much.
without further ado…

folks who are the most successful in business are the ones who realize up-front that they are in a marathon, not a sprint. so they conserve as much of themselves as they can at the start, investing a bit of time to get their legs under them & settle into their stride…
which also gives them the advantage of having enough energy & resources available to not only finish well, but maybe even for a kick when it’s the right time to make a move.
obviously, only time will tell how successful black warrior technology will be, but we’re doing all we can to get ourselves positioned correctly from the start.
