<i>"my main contact for all things both partner & mothership explained to me ... "</i>

Yada, yada, yada. Unless it's in official writing, your "main contacts" word is only good until someone higher up in the food chain countermands their explanation.

Everybody, everywhere, assumed that all our Action Pack software was good until we allowed our subscription to lapse. We assumed that we were subscribing to the software to run our business and that as long as we continued paying the subscription, we were free to continue running that software. But noooooo. This supposedly turns out to never have been the case.

@ bob

my main contact for all things both partner & mothership explained to me that the wording of action pack license terms defined it that either use was permissible, but only up to the number of licenses in action pack.

so...with only 1 sbs server license, a partner could choose to use that license to either run sbs in production for their own business, or for non-production use...but not both.

dunno about the rest of you, but it's making my brain hurt...

Chris, you already have non-production licenses of SBS etc. in the Action Pack. What's missing are production licenses to run our businesses on. If you're using SBS to run your businesses, then you're in violation of the current licensing agreement.

Thank you for the feedback and especially for taking the time to put together some constructive suggestions on what you think would help make Action Pack more effective. I will be sure to forward these on.
