think corporate

looks like when they aren’t busy swiping trademarked product names or pre-existing tech from other companies…

or acting indignant when they get called on it…

or ignoring legitimate questions about system security issues introduced by their software…

one particularly fruity technology company stays busy canning employees that show a spark of wit & artistry.

o canadian fedex lady…how i love thee, how i dote on thee!

a classic.

surgery majeure

they're really quite well-behaved...once you give them a few well-placed shocks with a cattle prod, that is...

just when i thought the minion horde over at the funlab couldn’t do any worse…

they go & totally redeem themselves!

the minions not only located a much more stable & lean release, they also got that puppy shoehorned successfully onto the funmobile.

so as good as windows mobile 6 seemed just yesterday & the day before with the viet4 release loaded…

it’s now even more impressive!

i will say this tho, once more for anyone who might have missed it the first time…

if ever you thought about flashing your device with a skunkworks release & you have a nervous stomach, weak heart, or fluttery bowels…

then in the name of all that is good & holy…

don’t ever do it!

only a certifiably insane person would dare doing such a thing on a perfectly-behaved & productive mobile device.

which brings me to our new slogan…

crazy: just another tuesday here at the funcave

2nd best feature of wm6

poking around your mouth with hooks & picks is one thing...but then they want to talk to you at the same time?

if you ask me…

one of the best changes in wm6 isn’t necessarily a big one.

i, for one, am overjoyed at the ability to skip the inane tap & hold lesson involving moving a calendar appointment when doing initial setup on a device.

i’ve moved that stupid dental appointment with dr. johnson so many times…

if i ever catch him in a dark alley, he’s in for the beating of his life.

activesync 4.5 cometh

a bit of news for folks on xp sp2 or earlier with windows mobile devices…

activesync 4.5 has been released!

big additions to this version are full support for exchange server 2007, outlook 2007 & windows mobile 6.0.

mothership also added a connectivity troubleshooter & extended support for some specific features of exchange 2003 sp2 & exchange 2007.

however, activesync of any flavor is obsolete if you are running vista. all vista users get to experience the down-home goodness that is windows mobile device center aka wdmc, as seen in an earlier post on onenote mobile.

as per usual, activesync 4.2 is still available, if you know where to look.

in case she missed it…

who doesn't like presents?

there was a special gift for queenie in the recent post about onenote mobile.

namely, that post included a link to a site dedicated to onenote powertoys called, oddly enough…

onenote powertoys

holy crap. that dude must obviously be a microsoft certified naming engineer.

anyway…enjoy!

no thanks necessary.

just doing my part to feed a poor junkie’s onenote addiction.
