You finished with
“But all this got me wondering how the SBSC Finder tool on the Small Business Center website works today. So I just checked. It continues to rank results on expertise, just like before.”

I strongly suggest you attend today webinar as you know MS can’t just leave a good thing alone (hey, I sound like my customers talking about me!). See http://sbscme.blogspot.com/2007/06/sbsc-quarterly-webcast-next-generation.html

You're right it's messed up, a colleague contacted me the other day to say exactly the same thing. Like you say I would be worried if we ever got a load of business from it, althought I know one or two people who have! MS tried the "Assess & Win" campaign in the UK which had a location based Virtual Earth tool, which was equally useless and incorrect!!

If they need some coding help, why don't they just ask us? Reasonable rates!
