What Does DDBSW Mean?

The other day, someone asked why they keep seeing this image all over the Funcave…

Friends Don't Let Friends Be Damn Dirty Bandwidth Stealing Whores...

In a nutshell, folks skating for images were posting direct links to the graphics at the Funcave.

And it just happened to catch me on the wrong day, at the wrong time.

So I set up a rewrite rule to redirect all direct-linking traffic to that little graphic above.

But certain feed readers get caught in this kiboshing. Sorry folks, I don’t have an infinite number of monkeys working on the FC. For the record, I basically test the following when making a change:

  • IE 7

On a good day, I’ll also check using:

  • RSS Bandit

But other than that, you’re on your own.

Oh, and to the MySpace coolsters and FaceBook nitwits…

This category’s for you!

  1. You might want to re-think Bookmark-a-Palooza. Seeing one huge DDBSW graphic at the beginning of each funcave post is hard enough. Seeing 26 of them at the end of each post is a real PITA.

  2. You might also want to rethink Google Reader via Firefox.

  3. @ Schrag & spiderwebwoman

Rethought…and deactivated. Thanks for the feedback AKA kick in the ass.

I’m thinking of a new slogan:

“Friends Don’t Let Friends Code Pissed”

Coming to a Cafepress shirt near you!
