@ Andras...

First, kudos for having the guts to put your full name to your comments. Most people prolly wouldn't, so I appreciate you being man enough to do that.

Second, to make this perfectly clear: I AM NOT EMPLOYED BY MICROSOFT. Not in any way, shape, or form.

In the interest of full disclosure...

I have consistently been employed by someone who was a member of the Microsoft Partner Program for the last 8-10 years.

I was named as an MVP by Microsoft earlier this year, for my tech community efforts...all of which paid me a whopping $0.00.

I have, on occasion, received assorted swag from MS for attending certain smaller local and larger non-local events. Amazingly enough, I have also received swag from the likes of IBM, AMD, Intel, Symantec, and about 3 billion other companies in the course of my career.

Eric and I have butted heads numerous times over reactions about Microsoft and its assorted initiatives, activities, and programs since I started the Funcave in 2005. None of that changes the fact that Eric, as the go-to licensing guy in the SMB space, exhibits more professionalism than seems to me could be humanly possible in the way he deals with people who act like complete raving idiots, who lack even the semblance of professional manners when talking with vendors.

I counted myself squarely among the raving idiot contingent until sitting next to Eric, quite by accident, at breakfast in Redmond, which was the first day of SMB Nation 2005.

If it will make anybody feel better, substitute "dumbass" or "raving idiots" for "people who aren’t, by and large, worthy enough to drink the runoff from the roof of his family’s doghouse."

"Eric has taken more personal abuse than anyone I know about stuff he has no control over, all from people who aren’t, by and large, worthy enough to drink the runoff from the roof of his family’s doghouse."

This is something you're simply not allowed to write and publish. It feels wrong. Everyone, take a good look at this excerpt. Goes to show Chris' (and many MS employees) arrogance. Nothing to add. Excuse me, Chris, Microsoft, and MS employees in general.
