Get An OVE On?

OK, so this is looking back a good bit, but this has been bugging me for the longest time..

OVE? Really?

Pardon me, but using that as an acronym for MS’ Launch-a-palooza at the beginning of 2007 goes beyond awkward.

Anybody else think it gives the impression of female reproductive-y stuff?

I have a simple, simple solution. Elegant beyond belief, and something that no one else will tell you.

And I’m betting you won’t hear it in Redmond this weekend either, if you just so happen to be visiting there for one reason or another.

Too bad for you, I guess…

Because, like whatever is in the suitcase in Pulp Fiction…

It's...beautiful...

It’s far too beautiful and precious to just hand over like a pamphlet at the airport.

We Was Good Friends For A Long Long Time…

But Baby You Got Hungry For A Life Of Crime…

Notice anything different about me?

And I got hella tired of waiting for AT&T to get off its keister with the official Treo 750 Windows Mobile 6 ROM.

So me & the robot horde basically told our carrier where they’re really ATT, in unison, with the universal sign language that they’re #1…

And tonight me and my titanium-clad posse went hella pirate rogue on their oh-so-precious hardware.

We Got The Neutron Bomb!

So now I’m the proud owner of a Treo 750 running the brand-spanking new Green Swirlie from those crazy kids what live and play up in Redmond.

No muss, no fuss…

And best of all…

No bricking!

Thanks in advance to the Denneys and friends for the title, some borrowed lyrics and some equally borrowed graphics…

Tired Of Waiting For Windows Mobile 6?

I know I sure am.

You can always go the pirate route. If you’re not afraid of bricking your precious several hundred dollar mobile device, that is.

But if you’d rather wait, here’s a list of freebie updates that will give you a good chunk of what’s coming in Windows Mobile 6, while you continue living in the past, laboring under the shackles of Windows Mobile 5.

And if you’re feeling really spunky…

Get your Master Chief on!

We knew Master Chief was still in the fight. He gave us hope...

Not So Good

Yeah yeah…I’m late to the party.

But that’s understandable, since the Windows Mobile 6 updates from AT&T are taking an interminable amount of time to arrive.

Remember…

Way way back in March (fracking MARCH!) of this year, WM6 updates were announced for not 1, not 2, but a grand total of 3 AT&T devices.

As of today, how many of those have been released officially in the US?

Big.Fat.Zer0

TreoCentral’s had a quite spirited discussion (a couple of discussions actually) raging for quite some time as to the reason the AT&T Treo 750 update has been delayed so long. Here’s a hint…

Good. Bad. I'm the guy with the gun.

Gotta hand it to GoodGuy tho. He’s been taking slings and arrows like a trooper, all for stuff which he obviously has no control over.

Wonder if his last name happens to be Ligman…

Office 2007 Goes Mobile

Gimme an M! Gimme an O!

The long-awaited update that enables Windows Mobile to support the native Office 2007 formats is now available for Windows Mobile 6 devices.

You can snag it HERE.

Still nothing for Windows Mobile 5, altho an update should be released soon.
