i have a pantech matrix pro with windows mobile 6.1 and ive done everything told on here.. but it still will not connect to my fone.. it keeps saying cannot connect on my phone.. can anyone help me it would be appreciated.

Works with Vista and VGA devices. Tested and it works perfectly with my Touch Diamond

Tested solution on Vista Ultimate 32bit with HTC Touch Diamond. NOT working, nothing happens on the phone screen when running remote display, attempting to open the file cerdisp2.exe on the phone from \Windows or any other dir results in error the file cannot be opened… Tested the files in the other Arm folders on the phone also to no avail. No doubt partly to do with using win mo dev manager instead of ActiveSync with Vista, but can anyone confirm that the cerdisp2.exe should or shouldnt be able to be run directly from the device? perhaps incompatable with winmo 6.1 on new devices?

Worked for me on both Cingular 8125 (HTC Wizard) and Cingular 8525 (HTC Hermes). I put the two files from the arm4t folder into the device’s Windows folder. Gives an error box at the beginning and then again when the remote display is closed, but it still seems to work fine.

Just wanted to confirm the instructions worked as is on my tilt. My screen broke yesterday and I wanted to get some info off it before its repaired. If you reboot and can remember the steps to unlock the phone, you just need to do this and press the key next to the green phone button in order to run the requested program. Works like a charm!

Solution is as follows: 1. Install Windows Mobile Developer Power Toys. 2. Copy C:\Program Files\Windows Mobile Developer Power Toys\ActiveSync_Remote_Display\devices\wce400\armv4t\cerdisp2.exe and C:\Program Files\Windows Mobile Developer Power Toys\ActiveSync_Remote_Display\devices\wce400\armv4t\KillProc.exe to \Windows on the mobile device. 3. Run ActiveSync Remote Display on the PC and click OK to the error. 4. Choose Yes when the mobile device asks you if you want to run cerdisp.exe
