DUKE NUKEM FOREVER HAS SHIPPED!

In an amazing turn of events, a long-awaited piece of software that some said would never be released has finally seen the light of day.
Oh wait…sorry.
It wasn’t Duke that got loosed today.
Rather, the Windows Mobile 6 upgrade for the BlackJack, which I guess would now more correctly be called the BlackJack I, has finally dropped.
As with all the WM6 upgrades, watch the fine print. The install instrux are only slightly less complicated than assembling a fusion reactor.
Vista users are left out in the cold too. The updater tool will not work on Vista at all. Even on a supported OS, ActiveSync needs to be version 4.2 or greater.
Strangely enough, tho…two common limitations with other Windows Mobile 6 upgrades are nowhere in sight. With other WM6 updates, you only get one shot to download. The BlackJack upgrade doesn’t have any such restrictions. And there’s no end date posted for the availability of the BlackJack WM6 update, unlike all the others.
Just like all the others tho, once WM6 gets on the device, there’s no such thing as a downgrade back to Windows Mobile 5.
