T-Minus 10 Hours And Counting

If you miss this tour, you are gonna hate being left so far in the dust. Roughly akin to how the USA eventually left the Russkis in the dust at the height of the space race.

It’s not too late to sign up and attend the smokin’ hot TechNet IT Pro Tiki Hut Tour stop tonight in Huntsville. There are still a few seats left. So if you want in, get off your keister and register now: http://msevents.microsoft.com/CUI/EventDetail.aspx?EventID=1032406292&Culture=en-US

I’ve been finishing up my prep for the two presentations I’m slated to give and I have just one thing to say…

The things we’re gonna talk about and demo tonight are some of the baddest ass advances in technology I’ve seen in my entire 14 year IT career!

I don’t say that lightly, cuz there’s been some pretty wicked awesome things come along since I started as a wet-behind-the-ears admin in 1994~1995. But anyone who misses this stuff tonight…I feel for ya. You’re very quickly gonna find youself MAJORLY behind the curve. Is that really something you want to risk in this economy?

Not only that, but there’s gonna be pizza, some amazing prize drawings, and Windows 7 Beta DVDs for everyone who attends! So be there, or be left behind. You’ve been warned!

T-Shirts Of The SEC: Vanderbilt Commodores

Big huge shoutout to all the Gold in the house for Vandy’s important win over Kentucky tonight.

Vanderbilt. Getting it done on the field, and off.

That win made Vanderbilt bowl eligible for the first time since 1982, which was during the first of Ronald Reagan’s glorious two terms in office.

Vandy tonight proved you don’t have to be big, dumb and slow to have success in college football.

Maybe somebody could tell that to Arkansas?

T-Shirts Of The SEC: South Carolina Gamecocks

I’m jumping just a bit out of order, but I had to get in a shoutout to the team with the best mascot in all of NCAA football for their big matchup against Florida this week.

The filthy cheer possibilities for South Carolina are endless, so I’d prolly pull a Michael Scott, yelling “That’s what she said! That’s what she said!” the whole time, and wouldn't be able to pay attention to anything going on in the game.

This year’s Spurrier Bowl has a lot at stake actually. The Gamecocks are already bowl-eligible, but would like to shine up their stats a bit to avoid playing in the Boudreax’s Butt Cream Bowl or some other ridiculous post-season matchup.

The Gators, obviously, are still in the NC hunt, and desperately want to buff the stats of Timmy Jesus so he can reach the all-important 20/20 club and take home his second Heisman.

But most of all, Coach Cryer desperately wants yet another chance to try to prove to himself that he won’t always be the second-best Florida coach in history. Good luck with that, Urban.

T-Shirts Of The SEC: Louisiana State Tigers

[suggestion: play the Mortal Kombat theme song while reading this post]

NOW IT BEGINS!

LSU...where work-release coincides with gamedays!

Time for Alabama to pin the tail on the Tigers over in the spooky spooky romper room they like to call Death Valley.

This is the Saban Bowl. The most one-sided rivalry in all of college football. For Alabama fans, it’s just another SEC West matchup.

For the great unwashed masses of LSU fans, winning this game will be the closest the voodoo capital of North America ever comes to vanquishing a man they schizophrenically refer to as the Antichrist.

More than anything else though…

I wonder what crazy, cockamamie, bordering on insane tactics Les Miles will try to pull this year.

Mike Singletary already used the mind-blowingly Milesian tactic of dropping his pants in the locker room, albeit at halftime, a week ago. Maybe Miles will take it to the XTREEM!!!! and drop his on the sidelines during the game?

I’m sure the faithful LSU horde (of drunken Cajuns) will need something to smile about after Mr. Saban takes his team of +100 Asskicking south this coming weekend and reminds the swamp kitties how a real coach with talented players gets it done.
