Guitar Hero III For Windows Mobile Will Rock You

The favorite pastime for people too lazy to learn how to play a real guitar buzzsaws its way onto Windows Mobile later today.

Available as either a one-time purchase or subscription license, Guitar Hero III Mobile includes a pretty good initial setlist…

  1. Santana - Black Magic Woman
  2. Wolfmother - Woman
  3. AFI - Miss Murder
  4. Red Hot Chili Peppers - Suck My Kiss
  5. Alice Cooper - School’s Out
  6. Pat Benatar - Hit Me with Your Best Shot
  7. Van Halen - You Really Got Me
  8. KISS - Strutter
  9. Smashing Pumpkins - Cherub Rock
  10. Stone Temple Pilots - Trippin on A Hole
  11. Matchbook Romance - Monsters
  12. Motley Crue - Shout at the Devil
  13. Black Sabbath - Paranoid
  14. The Allman Brothers Band - Jessica
  15. Scorpions - Rock You Like A Hurricane

Put Iggy Pop’s “Search & Destroy” on the playlist, and I’m an insta-buyer. Put “Sweet Home Alabama” on there, and I’m a lifetime purchaser.

Better yet, come out with the REAL killer game for Windows Mobile based on fake musicianship!

Best.Joker.Evar

Even as far back as 1990, I said Willem Dafoe would have made the best Joker. I still believe that.

And if you’d ever seen him in Streets of Fire as Raven Shaddock, the maniacal leader of the Bombers…you’d believe it too.

But Ledger as The Joker would run a very close second.

Define Rick Astley

Give you up!

  1. Sings like Barry White.
  2. Moves like Howdy Doody.

Simple enough.

Let’s Knife!

Old New Knife...25 years and counting!

After the Hello Kitty video finally posted, I got a couple messages from sharp-eyed folks asking what a Shonen Knife was, since it was listed in the credits.

First off, Shonen Knife isn’t a what, it’s a who. More specifically, a rock band.

The best way to describe Shonen Knife is to say they are basically The Ramones, if The Ramones were 3 Japanese chicks who sang about candy, cats, and basically made pop music awesome again.

They are one of 3 groups I would actually go see in concert…the other 2 being Smashing Pumpkins and White Stripes.

I’m starting the petition now…

SHONEN KNIFE SHOULD PLAY WORLD WIDE PARTNER CONFERENCE!

Big huge thanks to R. AKA Jerk With A Camera for the gracious usage of his totally kickass pic of Shonen Knife from a concert last December.
